COACH
Mary
Coach Mary’s passion for fitness started after becoming a mom to an amazing young man with Cerebral Palsy. She became the person responsible for coordinating and implementing, physical, occupational and speech and language programs that therapists created for her son. She realized how truly fortunate was to be able to move without limitations. With the encouragement of family and friends, she ran her first marathon at age 42 and completed 4 more marathons and over 25 half-marathons, adding cross fit, strength training and yoga.
After turning 50 she began to focus more on strength training and by accident found Training for Warriors in 2021. After falling in love with their programs as a student, she finished her Personal Training certification (that she had started 30 years ago) and became a coach.
She is proof that it is never too late to take control of your fitness and health through strength training.
Coach Mary’s Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM)
- Corrective Exercise Specialist
COACH
John
Coach John’s love for fitness and health developed from realizing the extreme importance of continuing to move well throughout our adulthood years. As children he noticed we naturally move and play with ease, joy and happiness but as we grow older and acquire more “adult” responsibilities we tend to become more sedentary unconsciously. Through curious interest and research in regaining his youthful vitality John stumbled upon holistic health principles and lifestyle modifications that paired extremely well with exercise/movement programs. He reeducated himself and attained his personal trainer certification in addition to a Holistic Health Coaching certification with a desire to help. He understood that training without a proper diet, hydration protocol and great sleep led to subpar results that would discourage most people into believing that getting back into amazing shape or for the first time achieving the body they had always dreamed of may be out of reach. He’s here to tell you it’s not. As someone who has dealt with his own ups and downs on his health journey, he continues to strive towards regaining and always improving his fitness and health into the future. It’s very important for him to keep aiming for that child-like ease of motion, to continue to play and be at peace, while always sharing joy and happiness with family and friends for as long as possible.
Coach John’s Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM)
- Certified Health Coach – Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN)
